Our School Structure

Education First Academy (EFA) provides a complete K–12 education that supports children at every stage of their academic and personal development. Our three sections ensure that students grow with confidence, strong values, and the skills they need for the future.

Elementary School (K–6)

At the elementary level, children build a solid foundation in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Instruction is designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and strengthen problem-solving skills. Students also develop social and emotional skills, learning how to collaborate, communicate, and grow as responsible members of the community. This stage ensures that every child is prepared for the more advanced studies ahead.

Junior High School (Grades 7–9)

Junior high bridges the transition from foundational learning to higher-level thinking. Students deepen their knowledge in core subjects while being introduced to additional areas such as health sciences, computer studies, and vocational exploration. At this stage, learners are guided to think more critically, work more independently, and prepare for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) exams, which determine promotion to senior high school.

Senior High School (Grades 10–12)

Senior high prepares students for life beyond secondary education. With a focus on both academic excellence and career readiness, students can pursue academic, vocational, or technical tracks based on their interests and strengths. They continue to study core subjects such as English, mathematics, and science, while exploring specialized courses that align with their future goals. The program culminates with the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which opens pathways to university, technical training, or direct entry into the workforce.

A Unified Vision

Across all three sections, Education First Academy is committed to educating the whole child. We nurture not only academic achievement but also creativity, character, and resilience—preparing students to thrive in school, in their communities, and in the wider world.

Elementary Education (Grades K–6) Place a Picture

Our K-6 program serves children from kindergarten through sixth grade, typically ages 5 to 12. We believe that K–6 is where a child’s learning journey truly begins. During these years, we strive to help children discover the joy of reading, writing, math, science, and more—while also learning important life skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and responsibility. It’s a place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every child is given the support they need to grow with confidence. More than just academics, our K–6 program is about building strong foundations—both in learning and in character—that will guide students as they move on to higher grades and beyond.

Junior Secondary Education (Grades 7–9) Place a Picture

Junior secondary school is an important transition stage for students in Liberia, covering Grades 7 through 9. At this level, children at Education First Academy move beyond the basics of reading, writing, and math to explore subjects in greater depth, including science, social studies, and introductory vocational skills. They also begin to develop stronger study habits, critical thinking, and independence as learners. This stage also prepares students for a key stage examination by the West African Examination Council (WAEC). Just as importantly, junior high is a time when students build confidence, discover their interests, and begin to think about their future goals. Parents can expect their children to be challenged academically while also receiving the guidance they need to grow socially and emotionally during these formative years.

Senior Secondary Education (Grades 10–12) Place a Picture

Senior secondary school is the final stage of a child’s K–12 journey in Liberia, covering Grades 10 through 12. At this level, students strengthen their academic skills in subjects like English, economics, mathematics, history, sciences, and geography, while also gaining the chance to explore practical, career-focused learning through vocational and technical courses. This blended approach ensures that every student is well prepared for the future—whether they choose to pursue higher education, technical training, or enter the workforce directly. By combining strong academics with hands-on skills in areas such as business, agriculture, technology, or the trades, senior high equips young people with both the knowledge and the practical tools they need to succeed.

The program culminates with the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which is required for graduation and opens doors to universities and colleges across the country. For parents, these years mark a proud moment of watching children grow into confident young adults—ready to embrace opportunities, overcome challenges, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

After School Programs

At Education First Academy, learning doesn’t end when the school day is over. Our afterschool programs are designed to spark creativity, build new skills, and give students the chance to explore their interests in a fun and supportive environment. From Arts & Craft, where children express themselves through hands-on projects, to Digital Literacy, where students learn essential computer and technology skills, these programs help learners across all grade levels grow in confidence and curiosity. Afterschool enrichment not only strengthens academic learning but also develops creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork—skills that prepare students for success in school and beyond.

Digital Literacy Program (Place a Picture here)
Our Digital Literacy Program introduces students to essential computer and technology skills, from basic typing and internet safety to coding and digital creativity. Across grade levels, students learn how to use technology responsibly and effectively preparing them for success in school, future careers, and the digital world.

Arts & Craft Program
The Arts & Craft Program gives children the chance to explore their creativity through hands-on projects. From painting and drawing to building and designing, students express themselves, build confidence, and develop patience while discovering the joy of making something uniquely their own. The four key areas of the Arts and Craft Program

  • Making – Children explore a variety of tools and techniques to create unique pieces of art. They’re encouraged to experiment, use their imagination, and proudly showcase their creativity.
  • Reflecting – Students develop the ability to analyze their own work and appreciate the creations of others. From sharing opinions on colors and patterns to discussing artistic choices, they learn to think critically and express themselves thoughtfully
  • Experiencing – Children are inspired to generate ideas, explore possibilities, and experiment with different approaches. This playful process helps them discover what they enjoy while building confidence in their choices.
  • Thinking & Working Artistically – As children grow as young artists, they learn to embrace challenges, take creative risks, and work independently. Through individual projects, they strengthen their instincts and resilience—valuable skills both in art and in life.
